What is Thrive Themes?
Thrive Themes is a product that allows you to build pages and then install them directly into wordpress sites you already own. If you are familiar with ClickFunnels, you have either used or heard that ClickFunnels offers a plugin so that pages created in ClickFunnels can be installed in wordpress. But instead of being one small feature of the software, this capability is what the entire platform is based around.
What features does Thrive Themes offer?
Thrive Themes offers a ton of products: wordpress themes for your website, email list building tools, A/B split testing, drag and drop editing, conversion focused landing pages, widgets, headline optimizer, scarcity marketing tools, testimonials, quiz building, comments, and more.
You can build any kind of page or site with Thrive Themes, including sales funnels.
What does Thrive Themes cost?
There are a few pricing options for Thrive Themes.
First, you can get the full suite of products on a monthly basis, rather than purchasing each plugin piecemeal.
Thrive Membership: for individuals and entrepreneurs, using the tools on 25 sites or less.
If you are willing to pay annually, you can get the entire tool suite of Thrive Themes (called the “Thrive Membership”) for $19/month. That’s $228/year.
Or, if you want to pay quarterly, you pay $30/month. That’s $360/year.
Agency Membership: for agencies and web designers, using tools on 50 sites and clients’ sites.
Annually, you pay $49/month. That’s $558/year.
Quarterly, you pay $69/month. That’s $828/year.
You can also purchase individual themes. The cost may vary, but generally for installation on one single website, one of the Thrive Themes plugins costs a one-time payment of $67. A 15 license pack will cost a one-time payment of $147.
Benefits of Membership versus One Product Purchases
To have access to the entire suite of products, the Thrive Themes membership option is the pretty obvious choice. You get access to every existing AND future product, at a fixed price. The individual plugins come with only one year of support, while there is unlimited support in the membership.
But if you are only looking for one specific plugin just one of your sites, a one-time payment of $67 seems like a pretty safe bet.
How does the pricing compare between Thrive Themes and ClickFunnels?
The ClickFunnels platform is significantly more expensive than Thrive Themes, and not unjustifiably so. ClickFunnels is an incredibly powerful software. But in many cases, it is very specialized, and has more capabilities than many customers (especially those who are in their first few years of doing business online) really need.
But in general, there are two options: the basic suite and the premium suite. The basic tool costs $97/month, and the premium tool costs $297/month. That’s $1164/year and $3564/year, respectively.
There are a few sneaky ways to get deals on ClickFunnels. There’s a secret plan where you can get ClickFunnels for $19/month if you limit yourself to three funnels, with limited editing abilities. You can also get ClickFunnels for $37 or $67/month if you want the full editing capabilities but don’t need many funnels. (Click Here to access information from a previous article here about how to get ClickFunnels for only $19/month).
There’s also an option to get the premium suite for discount with the Funnel Builder Secrets Package. (Click Here to find out more)
As a ClickFunnels user, I can tell you straight-up that the $19/month option for Thrive Themes is going to be a vastly superior product to the ClickFunnels $19/month plan, without a doubt. The ClickFunnels $19/month plan is incredibly limited, and not all that great for most users.
Choosing between the two products at the lower end prices…
The ClickFunnels $37/month and $67/month plans have all the usability and versatility of the main product. Choosing one of the cheapest ClickFunnels plans or Thrive Membership will depend heavily upon your specific needs.
If you are looking specifically at lead generation, of the ClickFunnels competitors, Thrive Themes is high quality alternative product. It is more affordable, and the ENTIRE product is focused on conversions. This is especially so if you are looking for a ClickFunnels alternative for wordpress.
If you need more features, such as membership sites, and customized or complex funnel templates, ClickFunnels is your best bet.
A beginner would (or maybe should)…
If you are a beginner, ClickFunnels is NOT going to be your go-to product…..yet. ClickFunnels can take several months to learn. Most new members to ClickFunnels spend several months just learning about online sales and marketing. Only then do they really understand the power of the product and how to effectively use it. In fact, the majority of new ClickFunnels users purchase the product for 3-4 months, then cancel their membership. Most people struggle to make money in those first initial months to justify the cost of the software.
This is where Thrive Themes and other products like it are a much better option for folks who are just getting started. The costs per month are minimal. You can use Thrive Themes on websites you already own. Thrive Themes is easy to learn and use, and also comes with tons of free training, resources and support.
Also, keep in mind that when you cancel Thrive Themes, you keep all your pages and funnels. When you cancel ClickFunnels, you can port away your domains but otherwise you lose EVERYTHING.
If you aren’t sure that you are ready to jump on the ClickFunnels bandwagon, and think you want to try it for just a few months, don’t forget that you can’t keep your work when you cancel.
These are a few of the reasons why we believe that Thrive Themes is one of the best and cheap ClickFunnels alternatives.
One of the things I wish Thrive Themes did was allow people to try their product.
ClickFunnels does a 14-day trial, which is not enough time to truly test out the software, but it give you a really good taste of what it can do and what it can offer you.
Thrive Themes does not do a free trial. But, on the upside, Thrive Themes does offer a 30 day window for you to request your money back. So you could think of that 30 days as your “free trial.” You just have to put money up front, is all.
