This is a 2018 ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review. I personally completed the ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp in August of 2018. Further, I am currently an affiliate of ClickFunnels, so you should take that into consideration as I describe my experience. However, I will do my best to provide an unbiased review.
Here’s a walkthrough of the inside of the Affiliate Bootcamp, so you can see exactly what you will get if you do the training:
ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review 2018: Basic Details
The ClickFunnels Affiliate BootCamp is its introductory teaching course for new affiliates. It is billed as the “Retire in 100 Days” course. The 100 days program was originally created as an actual challenge. Clickfunnels used it to whip up its affiliates into a fury to get one new subscriber a day for 100 days.
You can sign up for the course here with your email address. The course itself (and joining the affiliate program) costs you nothing but your email address. Upon providing your email address, you are taken to a portal with what looks like 100 days of videos. Next, you will get access to one video a day dripped to you via email.
I’ll just kill the magic and tell you what happens. In actuality, there are actually only 12 days of training videos. They tell you that once you’ve gotten to the end of the videos you are ready to go out and do the good work and you don’t need any more training.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review 2018: What training does the Affiliate Bootcamp Provide?
A common question about the Bootcamp from Google search:
Is affiliate bootcamp legit?
Let’s go through what the course offers, and you can decide.
First, what training does the course provide? Here are the subjects of each of the videos:
- Day One: ABC Overview. In this video, Russell Brunson gives an overview of how you can become profitable driving traffic into a funnel that sells ClickFunnels.
- Day Two: Your Follow-Up Funnel. In this video, the trainer takes you through how to set up your first Action Funnel and place the emails in your funnel.
- Day Three: Funnel Bait. In this video, you’ll learn how to style and design your landing page with an offer called Funnel Bait, and re-direct them to one of the ClickFunnels offers.
- Day Four: The Dream 100. In this video, Russell talks about the power of assembling the Dream 100, one of the fastest ways to “hack traffic.”
- Day Five: Today We Start Traffic. In this video, your trainer beings an introduction to Facebook Ads, the primary method used to get traffic into your funnel.
- Day Six: Finding Your Dream Customers. In this video, they will teach you how to make sure every dollar spent reaches the viewers you need (meaning it is about audience targeting).
- Day Seven: Over The Shoulder. Watch and follow along as John Parkes sets up a Facebook Campaign in just a few minutes.
- Day Eight: Our Big Secrets. This is a video about getting results with cold traffic on Facebook.
- Day Nine: The Podcast Trick. In this video, your trainer goes through how to use other people’s podcasts to build your list and sell ClickFunnels.
- Day Ten: YouTube Hack. In this video, your trainer goes through how to use YouTube to build your list and sell more of ClickFunnels, without making your own videos.
- Day Eleven: The Sharefunnel Secret. Your trainer goes through how to use sharefunnels as bait to attract new customers for your offers.
- Day Twelve: Ninja Traffic Bonus. Your trainer walks you through the Facebook Pixel, and how to build custom audiences to find new customers.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review 2018: Just how good is the training in the Affiliate Bootcamp?
I personally think that there are some items of incredible value in this free training. The videos about driving traffic using Facebook are gold. Even better, the videos are so practical for anyone who is new to affiliate marketing, even if they aren’t planning on promoting ClickFunnels.
I also think that the Dream 100 video in Day Four about finding the top influencers to assist in your promotion is incredibly compelling. This skill and concept, among others in the training, is applicable in any business, online or offline. It is something that I have started applying in my offline business every day.
As you read this, you have to remember one thing. When I started the ABC, I was almost brand-new to ClickFunnels, and to affiliate marketing in general. I had some experience posting to blogs, I had signed up and did a little with the Amazon affiliate program, and I’d checked out JVZoo.
I have to admit I had never heard of sales funnels. Not only that, I had never heard of ClickFunnels. I had no idea how people used the software. A good part of the training is showing affiliates just how ClickFunnels is used, and I thought it was an incredible tool.
You might find negative reviews about the bootcamp, or about the software.
Another ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review might not be as positive. An experienced affiliate marketer would not enjoy the training. He or she would be better off just getting 14-days free of ClickFunnels and spend that time familiarizing themselves with the software and the promotion tools in the portal.
A handful new affiliates complain that the ABC is just a way for ClickFunnels to try and convert its affiliates into paying customers. I was not bothered by this in any way, for a few reasons. First, I think that most successful ClickFunnels affiliates ARE users. Having access to the software dramatically improves the tools at your disposal to market it.
Most successful affiliates of a product are the actual users of it, because you can actually create good content about your use of the product. People who don’t use the product are severely limited in what they can produce. Potential customers can tell if you aren’t a user.
Further, ClickFunnels in particular is very difficult to market successfully if you don’t know how to use it. There are several other funnel builder platforms out there now. If you don’t even understand the basics of what a funnel is, it’s going to be tough to be successful promoting this product.
I don’t care how easy Russell makes it out to be in the videos. Retiring in 100 days is only realistic for a few affiliates who come to the program with some mad skills, primarily in the area of driving traffic. This is why I struggle to gush about the training in this ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review 2018: Is the ABC training enough to promote ClickFunnels successfully?
Unfortunately, I think this answer is NO. The ABC is a good start, but if you are brand new (like I was) there is an incredibly steep learning curve. New affiliates have to do all kinds of things at once. They have to learn the software so you can effectively promote it. You have to learn about driving traffic (solo ads, social media, building an email list, pay per click ads, etc).
Once you are inside the community, you’ll see that there are a handful of superstars. Spencer Mecham is the top earning ClickFunnels affiliate, having brought in more affiliates than just about everyone else combined. He recently released an Affiliate Marketing course that all of the affiliates are going ga-ga about. I haven’t taken the course, so I can’t say for sure one way or another, and won’t recommend it. But this is a good example of selling pans during a gold rush.
Ultimately, most people need MORE training than the ABC provides. Many new affiliates wash out quickly because they cannot afford to pay for the ClickFunnels subscription, and struggle to promote the product without it. Many wash out even if they get the subscription because they cannot handle the amount of time it takes to get through the learning curve.
Successful affiliates do this….
Here’s what I have seen of successful affiliates:
- They quickly find a community of people who can support and help them, primarily through closed Facebook groups.
- They work diligently to master the skill of driving traffic (getting eyeballs on your offers). There’s no one specific way to get eyes on your links. You can use Facebook, Google ads, Bing ads, YouTube, you name it. But you need to have at least ONE of these to get things moving.
- They work diligently to build basic ClickFunnels skills.
- They are patient, and do not give up when the commissions do not come quickly.
One Annoying Quirk about ABC. You should know that it is common for people to sign up, get the first video, and then look in their email for Day 2 and not see the video. There is some sort of lag in the ABC system that seems to impact a small percentage of subscribers. This happened to me.
There is a button on the upper right corner that says “Unlock All Tabs.” (I’ve attacked a screen shot below). You can click that and get access to ALL of the videos at once through Facebook Messenger.
I didn’t get the Day 2 email, and requested that all the videos be unlocked, and then I basically just binged watched them all over two days.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review 2018: Should I do the training?
It is a free training, so why not? There are tons of valuable moments in it, and if you go in knowing what you are getting, you can focus on what you need and get it! The ClickFunnels affiliate program is one of the most lucrative in the software affiliate marketing world (40% commissions on all products including high ticket items, massive backend, Russell Brunson the selling machine). Really, the job of a ClickFunnels affiliate is to get a customer to the door, and let Russell take over.
Knowing what I know about the training (and in my subsequent experience) I would absolutely do it again, and I’d tell anyone who wanted to promote ClickFunnels to do it. Just don’t think of it as the end all. That’s the only thing that is missing from the training–that’ you’ll need more to be successful in most cases.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review: ClickFunnels Finally Comes to the Rescue. Update 9/14/18.
ClickFunnels has finally recognized that its new users (and affiliates) need a little but more training. As of 9/14/18, they are providing users of the software access to additional funnel training for free (Funnel University Light), which is HUGE. I can’t wait to get into it!
